Hortensia Herrero, president of the foundation that bears her name, has provided healthcare workers with a million masks to fight the spread of COVID-19. Specifically, this medical supplies have been delivered to five Valencian hospitals: La Fe Hospital, University General Hospital, Clinic Hospital, Doctor Peset Hospital and Arnau de Vilanova Hospital.
Thus, the Hortensia Herrero Foundation aids with the supply of one of the needs most demanded by healthcare professionals in recent weeks in order to fight the coronavirus epidemic in which, as the rest of society, Hortensia Herrero is involved. This action has been carried out thanks to the logistical support and infrastructure of Mercadona.
Hortensia Herrero herself has pointed out that, in situations as difficult as the current one, “one of our priorities is to support those on the front line and to work as key essential sectors. We are aware of the social commitment of our foundation and, at this time, our responsibility is to go one step further and to collaborate in offering specific measures with which we can face this ever-changing health crisis that is affecting the health, and economic and social well-being of our country.”
